Yesterday, we reported some distressing news ...Neil Young is Sick: David Letterman Replacing to Induct Pearl Jam Into Rock Hall .

The news brought quite a few number of comments expressing concern and well wishes from Neil fans around the world.

So, today some good news.

From Pitchfork.com (Thanks Nick!):
Today, a representative tells Pitchfork that Young has not been feeling well, but his illness is nothing major. In its statement yesterday, the Rock Hall concluded, “We’re wishing Neil a speedy recovery.” David Letterman will induct Pearl Jam in Young’s place tomorrow.
Likewise, we here at Thrasher's Wheat wish Neil a speedy recovery.

  1. I'm 41 so there's a good chance Neil will go before I do but I'm clinging to the hope it won't happen. I have only seen him live three times, damn it !

  2. Hey ViP, I'm 41 too and I have seen him live in the flesh only three times as well. Hopefully Neil goes before both of us, man, but may that not be before 30 years. Long may you run, Neil. We love you.

  4. Well suckers, I am 48 and have seen him 20 since '88. I also saw Chuck Berry, Bowie, and Stevie Ray Vaughan (3x). I also hit 40 Dead shows (I am less proud of that), 15 Los Lobos shows, and hundreds of other shows. Neil Young is always the greatest live show I have ever seen!

  5. Chuck Berry also put on a tremendous show (1998). But yes, 20 Neil Young shows. I am most happy about that. Oh, I have seen Buddy Guy 5 times. Alan in Seattle

  6. So what is interesting is when people complain about Neils ticket prices. But how much would you pay if you knew it was close to his last?? Think of a number and double it...
