Induct Neil Young & Crazy Horse into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!!

As we announced moments ago on Thrashers Wheat Radio on WBKM.org, a campaign has been launched to Induct Neil Young & Crazy Horse into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

We encourage all Crazy Horse fans to express their support for the campaign by visiting Induct Neil Young & Crazy Horse into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame | Facebook. Like it. Share it. Post a comment, photo or video. Have some fun and get your Horse on.

From the About Section: Neil Young has termed his association with Crazy Horse “the essence of my musical life. This is the core, the smoldering thing I come back to over and over again....If I had never done anything else, the Crazy Horse stuff would just stand on its own.”

Neil Young & Crazy Horse

Thanks to all for supporting the effort! And thanks to Hounds That Howell (Campaign Manager), Shaka Geoff (Silver Moon Graphics), Eric & Tony @ wbkm.org, Chris M. (inspiration & encouragement), Arkansas Girls, Roel @ Rust Radio and rusties everywhere around the world! And especially thanks to Ralph, Billy, Poncho & Neil! Long live The Horse!

  1. He doesnt need another R&RHOF inclusion. Hes already in 2x and even refused one I believe. The thing is largely an arbitrary group created by Ertegen and Wenner anyway. Now my hometown heros The Doobie Brothers are long overdue.

    1. Yes, I do believe "the original Doobie Brothers should be inducted, their first four albums" but what have they done since? Come on Taking it to The Streets " with Michael McDonald give me a break that's not Rock n Roll, it's top 40 crap, Neil Young and Crazy Horse are the real deal, if you know about music in general those guys can make mistakes and still play in their own league, Neil Young is a premiere writer and guitarist ,don't waste my time, Thank you

  2. Well I'm sure the other members of Crazy Horse probably wouldn't mind getting in. They definitely deserve it

  3. I take your point Shakey and did think of that too. I reverse my comment. It would be a good excuse to see the band play again and get Sampedro back on board.

  4. What has become of Sampedro?

  5. @CFH Poncho is a farmer in Hawaii now, living the good life.

Im sure he still jams.. hope to see him return to CH one day- still, i'm grateful that Nils is stepping in to keep the horse galloping.

  6. It didn't hit me until the recent Canadian CH shows... but damn, I missed the signature Crazy Horse harmony vocals. We also talk about how cosmic their playing is (and rightly so) but Billy and Ralphie singing together is really a special thing.

Put the Horse in the same way the E Street Band did a few years back. Do it while the band can still be there to enjoy it (although I would fully expect Ralphie to show up to the ceremony decked out in his Yankees cap). Long ride the Horse.

  7. As Neil says Crazy Horse is the essence of his musical life. If you take ATGR, OTB, TNT, TFA out of his cannon of albums the best ones left are all Crazy Horse works. Crazy Horse defines a library of work that Rock students and fans deserve to experience when they visit The Rock Hall. Big void in Neil’s career if they’re not in there eventually.

  8. PS Of course Harvest and Harvest Moon should be included with ATGR, etc.

  10. Neil states on his archives site under Heading Home 2-8-19 "and for our last show’s gift experience with the rumble-dream Crazy Horse of the future. NYA" so looks like Poncho has departed for some time....

  11. UNCUT is widely available in NYC and elsewhere in the United States. Barnes and Noble carries it.

  12. Let's not forget the first CH record which is a classic, and LOOSE without Whitten & Lofgren was very good. UNCUT has been runnin' dry recently.
