  1. I hope there will be an international release (i.e. UK & Europe) for these sets. Otherwise they will miss out on a lot of potential donations to the Bridge School.

What a great way to generate donations though - can't believe this hasn't been done sooner. I would buy DVD's of individual years, if I could!

    :-)

  2. great news I guess, but NO Springfield ?!? Not one single song? That's just plain WRONG IMO...

  3. Yeah, I wish they'd do actual full-concerts or artists dvds, they could make way more money and it'd be more interesting...

I can't stand the Fleet Foxes, Paul McCartney and Jack Johnson.

That being said, what a great cause, I'm a teacher and id love to work there.

  4. they most likely don't do full concerts or artist DVDs because of gettng licensing to use performances.

Few artists are going to give up entire concerts in such scenarios.

I lke this "best of" set.

  5. I`m surprised they didn`t do this sooner too, but what a great way to celebrate their 25th Anniversary.

Amazon uk has the CD set listed for pre-order but I can`t see anything about the DVD set yet.I hope we`ll be able to get that over here too - I would certainly buy the DVD`s over the CD`s.

The Bridge School always has an excellent line up and the artists go out of their way to give superb performances. Really looking forward to it.

  6. this is nice but i can't help but feel a little underwhelmed. on 3 dvds they could have fit on a lot more content... and there is plenty of great content to choose from.

i am happy the cd's don't just overlap the dvds and have some different stuff.

  7. Alex..no offense but what do you not like about the Fleet Foxes..
they're carrying on the CSNY sound for the 21st century...Mr Nash loves 'em and I think Mr Young likes them too..

  9. No Buffalo? No Blu-Ray? Too much of somebody/not enough of somebody else? Well ... it's really all about the Bridge School, folks.

The reality is, it's as worthy of a cause as any and better than many; the fact that you're actually receiving something for your donation is a gift in itself.

Let's enjoy the tunes that are going to be available and thank the Bridge School for the miracles they've performed.

  10. I agree..and if folks don't think Neil had a hand in this..they need another think coming. The artists on these discs ARE who he & Mrs Young wanted on them. Brian..It IS about the cause and it starts & ends there. Celebrate & buy the release knowing in some small way we're helping THE BRIDGE SCHOOL continue to prosper.

  11. I have no complaints about this box set. Would I like it to be more exhaustive? Sure, who wouldn't? Are there artists I have no interest in included? Yeah, but there's usually a few I don't care about at Bridge School every year, as well. And the gems included here more than make up for the dudes.

Also, I'm very impressed at the price... for a multi-CD/DVD set, I would have expected them to charge more. This is looks to be a fantastic set at a pretty great price.

And to chime in on the subject of Fleet Foxes. That's all well and good that they sound like CSNY and have their endorsement. It doesn't make them any more exciting. It's a regressive, repetitive interpretation of something that has already been done better. I have no interest in bands keeping tradition alive if they don't contribute anything to it. Give me something new.
