  1. I am very excited about the T shirt for the big anniversary!
Thank you so much! Great post!

Hooray for Thrasher’s Wheat! What a cool place in cyber space! What a legacy!

I love the pics of all of us who fly the TW T- flag!

  2. From what I understand, these T shirts do not bring a profit at all to Thrasher. Last time it actually cost him money!

Buy a shirt, but also please consider donating money to Thrasher’s Wheat for bandwidth & costs incurred.

Whatever you can do to help pay our way, Thanks to Thrasher & the ever supportive & patient (I am sure) Thrashette!

PayPal donation link on TW Home Screen right side.

TW is a rusted out bastion of Free Speech in a cyber world where there is little of that to be found.

    Neil Young fans we are.

We can talk about Neil Young’s Art, his words, his Art, his huge mountain of audio treasure, our love of his Art….

At TW we discuss deeply important things here, like Love & War, Living With War, Vampire Blues, Revolution Blues, For What It’s Worth, Ohio, Southern Man, Throw Your Hatred Down, It’s an Angry World, Don’t Forget Love, Love & Only Love, ok, Peace & Love! And everything else except for the kitchen sink? 😁

Thank you for supporting TW from & for all of us who love it & live it! Hard core fans or merely serious fans 😁 -that also means all of us! Even the semi serious & even the curious fans frequent this page.

Thrasher’s Wheat is perhaps the coolest place on the internet, along with NYA!
Sugar Mountain is right up there too! Facebook NY fandom I have not used much.

All the Neil that’s fit to print, right here. I don’t want to raise a ruckus, but one can even “get lucky” 🍀 here at TW!

I have heard about crucial tiny shows in the Neil-related such as Micah Nelson & Particle Kid! Reasonable low ticket prices!

I heard a tip about $30 seats for the NY & C Hs show at Hollywood Bowl. My family of 4 got to hit it with some cheap plane tix (not TW related). What a coup! Got to meet up with Knowledge Nomad. What a great show that was.

And we were surrounded in every side by peeps who paid $100-$200 more than us. It was a fluke, but magic is real. Rock & Roll matters. Live music matters. And I am damn glad to have been a Neil a young fan all of these decades of life! And to meet up with y’all, in person & otherwise, it has been a sweet ride. And we ain’t done yet.

Live music is better! Studio music is also where dreams in song are constructed & take flight. Albums are born.

Neil Young has made the world a better place & so has Thrasher! Much obliged!

  3. Thanks Brother Alan for the support over the years. Your Neil passion is so passionate.

Right, this shirt business is not a fund raiser. We just try and break even. Anything extra is given away as freebies or donations to Bridge, Farm Aid, etc.

    1. There is so much music I love, so many bands & artists. Variety is the spice of life. Neil Young has proven to me, in live performances & on LPs, that he was the single most compelling of them all. He is worth paying attention to!

He was a shape shifter, sings like an angel, killed it on electric, & acoustic. Wrote terrific & numerous songs!

Songs which allowed my heart to take flight. Sonic… Freedom. So ya, I saw hundreds of shows but tops was Neil, about 25 x. Neil always put on the best shows. His singing voice gave him an advantage over some other legendary poet songwriters, who I also love very much.

Since my real Neil beginnings in 88 he has delivered so many great shows, masterpiece albums, many very good albums, from the past. He was a shape shifter, and a maverick environmentalist, which reinforced my interest.

Neil Young is… worthy of this blog! I would ignore him if I didn’t love his music so damn much!

I love you brother. Such an honor to have my photo up there twice!

Reference earlier to “our” blog was meant to convey community in our enjoyment of TW! I am not declaring partial ownership TW! (Yet! Maybe after I take Greenland).

  4. Picked up a copy of As Time Explodes at a local record store. Happy RSD to all who celebrate. Now I just need to get the turntable fixed so I can give it a spin.

    1. I bought a few too many albums recently prior to RSD that I stayed away. But I buy more CDs anyway.

I hope to see you again at a wicked good show in LA down the road.

Best wishes, keep on commenting. Peace be upon you, and us all, brother.

    2. @wsanjose01 I'm a lifelong CVB fan. Sorry I missed their CVB/Cracker Campout at Pappy and Harriet's last fall, as I since learned CVB members are strewn across Australia, North America, and Europe, so the chances they perform together again are slim. Always were fantastic live.

    3. Cracker does sound like a great band, & funny. Great, another band I gotta pay attention to! Leave it to the Neil Young fan to have good taste in music. Like Knowledge Nomad, Thrasher, & all y’all!

    4. I recall the days of cds and “Hidden tracks”. This reminds me of a cracker cd I had been listening to & I thought had ended when the display read track 69 & “Euro Trash Girl “ live! started playing. Easily, the best track on that cd. Gotta see if I can find it…

  6. Thanks everyone for your pledges of support. We continue to be humbled by the love of our community.

Your support is very much appreciated and we're excited about the anniversary celebration.

Our Pledge Drive continues. If you haven't already pledged yet, please do so as soon as you can. If we do not receive sufficient pledges, we'll be unable to complete the project.

We do want to make sure that everyone who wants to support TW is able to do so. We need a minimum number of pledges in order to move to order and production stages. We would like to complete Pledge Drive by end of April, Ordering in May, Production in June, and Shipment in July.

So let your freak flag fly & don't be denied!
Meanwhile, we'll still be separating the wheat from the chaff...
