Some good news from Neil Young on his recent recording sessions at Rick Rubin's Shangri-La Studios.
Now in a response to a letter from Wendy, Neil seems quite pleased.
"I'm so happy with my new album!
I honestly can't remember ever feeling so good about what we recorded. Everything happened so naturally… Chrome Hearts were totally in the groove. Songs! I'm really looking forward to sharing it with you all as soon as possible.
Songs…"
Nice to see the change in Neil's mood. Also, recall that in early March, Neil wrote:
"Politics today is sad and depressing for me. I can’t do it anymore."
And in other Neil Young news of late, the tracklist for the album "As Time Explodes" by Neil Young w/Chrome Hearts has been revealed for this year's Record Store Day on April 18.
In case you might have missed the last sentence above (we see zero comments), we're hearing that something big might be announced in early April. So stay tuned to TW. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope this isn't a hint at an upcoming April Fool's joke...
DeleteOf course it will be the announcement of a summer tour leading up to the midterm elections, something like the "Vote for Change" concerts. Anything that helps...
ReplyDeleteListen to the new album when it comes out with fresh ears, attuned to the new day that is rising. I am listening to Jimi play Machine Gun @ Berkeley! It speaks to the current day. Living with War indeed!
ReplyDeleteNo War! Save Earth! End fossil fuels!
