The Louisville, KY festival runs from Thurs., Sept 19 to Sunday, Sept 22.

ReplyDeleteHi, I came across this piece by Dutch journalist Constant Meijers from Young's time in Amsterdam following the final CSNY 74 tour show at Wembley Stadium in London, which I'd never seen before.
ReplyDeleteMeijers seems to have had pretty close access over several days. It's fairly amusing and explicit about Young's state of mind at the time, which seems all over the place.

Thanks for the link to the story! Amazing insight to Neil at the time of writing Vacancy, "All those girls, trying to be just like her, copying her...”
ReplyDeleteDidn't mean to publish three comments exactly the same. Blogger kept saying it had a problem, but evidently posted each time!
ReplyDeleteAint that so interesting ! Fer a huge rock star like Neil Young that wears " Earth " t-shirts and proclaims his Love of Mother Earth . I'd be mighty interested to hear real Earth facts . How much carbon Neil burns in his everyday life .... how many jet planes , how many homes.. how much to keep his cozy retreat North of Peterborough . Who a I to question ... I've used my snowblower five times so far this Winter , have had a stretch were I can put my bedsheets on a country clothes line to dry . I don't wear an Earth t-shirt , but I'd bet a shiny nickel , I'm closer to Mother Earth than Neil Young will ever be . Open yer tired eyes there clone cult menbers ....polluter people like Neil Young are the problem ... not the solution .
ReplyDeleteAwesome to be here in the edge of our seats awaiting news of upcoming tour dates!
ReplyDeleteHopefully we can all get out to a show! Keep it Green!
