"Enjoy NYA - Still Free" Says Neil Young
On June 1, the Neil Young Archives (NYA) was scheduled to go to a paid subscription model.
But Neil Young says: "Enjoy NYA - Still Free" on his latest NYA Times-Contrarian posting. According to Neil, the delay is due to "European privacy rules". It is unknown how long compliance will take or when subscriptions will go into effect.
So like Neil says: "Enjoy NYA - Still Free"!
For more details, see NYA Times-Contrarian.
Also, see announcement on Membership to Neil Young Archives Opens June 1.

For your information I have "disconnection" cuts while listening to NYA and it's painful ... where does it come from ....... far! See you soon for the subscription.

This is the reason. It's complicated. Long may the free access last. At least til after solo trans movie night!

The Movie Night schedule is now blank, some hand-wringing in the Facebook groups over what that means: https://www.neilyoungarchives.com/#/movie-night?_k=lf0dne
ReplyDeleteIll be buying monthly subscription. Hopefully new releases will be available fairly regularly.
ReplyDeleteSo complicated - shelve all this stuff - just release the stuff on vinyl. 8-track, cassette, 12 inch, CD, blu ray or anyway - NOT PONO - we're all of an age when we still crave for physical music?
ReplyDeleteMonsanto's name will be no longer:

amen to what Andy Walters said.....do we really need the internet for everything now? The Archives site is fantastic I admit that - but sitting in front of an internet device isn't my idea of how to listen to good music.....or bad music....or any music.
ReplyDeleteI recently bought the physical versions of Hitchhiker and Roxy. I’d rather NY have the online archives and release a physical album every once in a while. Easy to afford compared to the behemoth that is the physical Archives. I really don’t care anymore for NYA2. This is the cheapest and best way to get the Archives out for NY. He’s happy and I’m happy.
