Recently, we posted the sad news that there will be No Bridge School Benefit Concert in 2017 .
In memory of all of the Bridge School Benefit Concerts we've attended over the years, here's a posting of our thoughts on Remembering The Warmth & Love of Bridge School Concerts . So in memory of the 30 years of Bridge School Benefit Concerts, readers have been submitting favorite memories. Let us know a favorite Bridge School Benefit Concerts and we'll try and post.
While there have been some pretty amazing acts and collaborations since the first benefit in 1986, the year 2004 probably ranks right up there at the top of the scale of concert memories. The 2004 Bridge School Benefit Concert featured Paul McCartney, Tony Bennett, Eddie Vedder, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tegan & Sara, Los Lonely Boys, Sonic Youth, and Ben Harper along with Neil Young.
The concert's finale with Paul McCartney, Tony Bennett and other musicians left many with literally tears in their eyes.

Star power aside, I don't think either of them would be proud of that particular performance other than the tremendous effort of gathering a great crowd for a worthy fundraising.

Has anyone listened to that link I posted. I'd like to know what people think. By the way, its Hitchhiker (Like An Inca) from the upcoming Hitchhiker album out in August.

I listened to it once yesterday. It was fine, but didn't move me at all. Maybe it was my mood at the time, so I'll certainly revisit it again soon.

Hi Thrasher, it seems legit. Seems to be a Russian(?) streaming site, so no need to download anything. Just press play where it says hitchhiker. I used an ipad with no problems. Doesn't seem to be a live version that I know of. See what you think.

From "Shakey": The demon certainly took control on August 11, 1976, when Young cut the ultimate acoustic track of the 1975-77 period at Indigo: "Like an Inca (Hitchhiker)."
