Excellent show in UT. Added one of what sounded like a Storytone song to the acoustic part. Neil was finicking around with his harmonics during that portion and seemed a bit distracted. Once the band came out they took off quickly. The new songs while not lyrically impressive were fun and played well. Neil didn't even hold a guitar for I think 3 if them. I get the feeling the band came up with the changes as they are not typical Neil. To me alot of them about the state of the media. Seed Justice rocked the place. Having seen Neil abiut 20 times I can say his playing on old black is as good as ever. Everyone walked out saying it was a great show and the crowd was the best I've experienced. No drunk idiots around at all. Travelled from Iowa and it was well worth it.

ReplyDeleteFlew in from Manchester and got to see the Boise & SLC shows...and waiting to go in tonight in Tucson. Very impressed with the new songs...but still a similar format to the european tour earlier in the year. Made Carole happy with 25 minute 'Down by the river'. Roll on tonight.
