Pearl Jam - Fuckin' Up - Hartford (October 25, 2013)

Another recent Pearl Jam cover of Neil Young's "Fuckin' Up" in Hartford, CT on October 25, 2013.

This has a nice little shout out by Eddie Vedder to Neil and Pegi Young. The concert was the same night as the annual Bridge School Benefit.

Enjoy!

  1. This reinforces my long standing suspicion that if only Pearl Jam didn't play so many Pearl Jam songs they might actually not suck. It's the first PJ tune I've enjoyed in years.

However if you compare it to the Horse (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDa-gnEGnBw), it sucks ass.

Sorry PJ fans. Eddie Vedder blows.

  2. We must say Negative Man you have a lot of courage in your convictions.

Try as you might, we will not rise to your bait nor play your game. It's for losers.

  3. @Anonymous - beyond the obvious love for Neil Young on this board, I don't think you'd find agreement here as to whether any other band in the world is considered good or bad. Why do you even bother trying? Your musical taste is as good or as bad as anyone else's. Let's leave it at that, and not try to diminish anyone's personal choices which in actuality, don't hurt anyone.

  4. Thanks Phil.

We wish we had the composure to have written your words.

Sometimes it hard when you put your blood, sweat and love into something only to get negativity back.

We always thought that was bad karma.

But hey, without the doubters what would we do for laughs??? ;)
    peace

  5. I saw PJ last night in Vancouver and they were so good. Eddie gave special mention to Neil again, called him Uncle Neil, and said he got them through the early years. They are a great band.

  6. Thanks Taylor!

That's always been our impression as well.

Whenever we see Eddie & PJ play the Bridge, what we see and hear is that they have such deep love and respect for Neil & Pegi and what they're doing.

Isn't that what it's all about?

  7. Pls don't lump me in with Negative Man, Thrashers Wheat. Pearl Jam is one of the best rock bands to come out of the last 20 some years. I guess they like it with the lights on.

  8. Any band that helps Neil write and record a CD like Mirrorball in a week is OK by me. Still my desert island NY CD.

  9. Huh? What'd I say? Sheesh!

Pearl Jam, now there's a band that cares about the fans and puts on an awesome show to boot, even if Eddie does sing out of tune. PJ rocks!!!

    Fuck the doubters

  10. You've offended my delicate sensibilities with your harsh comment, Negative Man. I will carry on though secure in the solace you find me desirable enough to make sweet love to. Although a skilled and generous lover, look into some Viagra as last time you didn't quite hold up your end of the bargain
