Neil Young Honored As MusiCares Person Of The Year

We caught a little flack last month for not posting in advance on Neil Young's performance at Ocean Elders Benefit, City Winery in New York City on 9/23/13. Folks said if they had known, they would have come on down to show.

OK, so don't say we didn't let you know about this upcoming benefit performance by Neil Young.

Neil Young will perform at a benefit for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music that Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea and Anthony Kiedis will host.

The benefit event will take place Oct. 30 in Silverlake (Los Angeles), Calif. Silverlake Conservatory of Music facilitates music education and offers music lessons and scholarships.

Tickets start at $2,000 per guest, and a 10-seat table is $25,000.

All for a good cause.

  1. It's a bit ironic isn't it? Usually conservatories 'hate' Neil Young, because he doesn't know music theory, doesn't always play the right notes, sings off-key a lot and his technique is, well, unusual.
