ReplyDeleteWorried about Neil's CND dove guitar strap.
Looks likes its been shredded.
Marc Bolan had the same strap incidentally.
great video ..!..
ReplyDeletesuch a heartfelt "thank you" message from Neil, true..., next time, we might not all be there...let's feel the moment...
I was lucky enough to hear ( see) this encore several times on this tour
in Nîmes' roman arena ( the place where the gladiators used to fight..:(..)..which is now devoted to music.. he spoke a little french before this message:
" merci mes amis,je ne parles pas bien français " ..or something like this...so cool...
a great night, lots of energy , an emotional acoustic set, with beautiful Patti Smith as support act ..!..probably my favorite show...though it's hard to pick up a favorite
see these guys on the road again ..I do hope !
long live the Horse
At the end of show, Neil pointed in my direction and greeted me. I don't know the reasons, maybe because I had supported him during the show or the previous shows (generally in the first rows or rails) or probably for my final brainless hail or maybe it was for another person, I don't know. I'd prefer to be recognized for my researches, but during the shows I'm just a really passionate fan. It's O.K. Ready for some scandinavian dates in August.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I requested three songs during the show and got all three.
So Tired
@So Tired - so great for you and the concerts.
ReplyDeleteNeil must've appreciated your enthusiasm. ;)
Have fun in August!
Thanks, Thrasher. So far, Neil has been incredible and I have met a lot of friends. If you see the Youtube video, Neil looks happy like his fans.
ReplyDeleteat the end I couldn't help but be struck by the fact that these guys are either 70, about to turn 70, or pretty darn close to 70. I'm about to hit 50 and feel pretty tired and old...hope I can be of sound mind and body in 20 years. Good genes and good luck pretty much seem to explain longevity to me (especially when you see hard rocking and hard living folks like Elton, bowie, NY&CH, the stones the list goes on...). Not a great sample from which to conclude that smoking, snorting, and other good o'l ways of having fun is likely to reduce your lifespan. wonderful video.
ReplyDeleteIs anyone looking for a GA floor ticket for Port Chester? I have an extra, am coming from Texas, and I'd prefer not to completely rip someone off via StubHub.. but I also would like to make $50 or so bucks to help offset some of my costs.
ReplyDelete@Marc - why yes I am actually...I'm in VA & want to go but only with a floor ticket...how can I get in touch with you?
