Happy New Year!
For those who like to read Thrasher's Wheat on the go, we now have a beta mobile version for your smart phone. Folks have commented that the site loads pretty sluggishly on a hand-held, so we finally got around to trying to improve the mobile experience.
So give it a try. It seems to be relatively blazing fast, comparatively speaking.
Drop a comment below on any suggestions about your experience. Oh -- and yes -- we're thinking about a TW iPad version. Maybe someday .... in our infinite free time...

Where do I find the app?
ReplyDeleteWhat's it called? Can't find anything in Android Market by searching for Thrasher's Wheat!
ReplyDeleteWell, just go to any TW/Neil Young News page on a mobile device and page will load with optimized version.
ReplyDeleteSo -- not that we really fully understand mobapps -- TW servers will recognize incoming request device and will serve up the proper page now.
So if request is from an iPhone, Droid, or regular browser, a propely formatted page will be sent back.
Curious as to what happens with the iPad?

ReplyDeleteSo it's not an app, but an optimized version of the page for smart phones. Looks great! Regular page still comes up on the iPad, but it normally doesnt pull up mobile versions for other sites either so I think that's to be expected.
