Our Thrasher's Wheat 30th Anniversary T-Shirt of the Moment is from Brad "More Barn" out in
Coastal Oregon.

This is very special for us, as Brad "More Barn" is quite the legend in the Neil Rust world.

As so many of you know, the famous Graham Nash & Neil Young "More Barn" story has reached an almost mythical status -- what with t-shirts, hats and who knows what else blaring the call.

So Happy 30th Anniversary to Brad and "More Barn"!

And if that's not enough, we're reminded of those hazy, hot summer days back in the last decade seeing Neil Young Solo @ Auditorium Theater, Chicago, Il on June 30 & July 1, 2018 with our buddy Brad "More Barn".

  1. Has anyone around these parts heard of a song called "Neil's on the Radio"? Did I make this up, hear it in a dream, or what? I swear it is real.

Hmm…innarest’n. I recall a Neil tribute album while back (pre 2k?) w/ mostly no name bands. This Notes for you, too? There was a band called Big In Iowa that contributed Cinnamon Girl. Was pretty dang good. Not the only good version on that cd but stuck w/ me. Big Bob Burns was the dudes name. I recall a song Neil on the radio off a solo or band album. Hadn’t thought about it in over 25 yrs. So back down the rabbit hole and… nuth’n. Zero, Zilch, Nada. But I know it was once upon a time ago? I’ll admit I’m gett’n a lil rusty. But hard to admit a time slippage of this nature. 🤔

  2. With the recent news that staff at music media organizations BrooklynVegan, Alternative Press, Revolver, and Goldmine have been let go by parent company Veeps, it's a reminder that your support of our blog Thrasher's Wheat has never been more important.

Thrasher's Wheat is a nonprofit publisher, dedicated to supporting the Neil Young fan community (Rustie-Grains) and the songs you love. Support from our readers is critical in providing necessary funds for our core operations, which includes considerable bandwidth, storage and server costs.

So the best way to support our work is by joining our occasional fundraising efforts.

That said, the 30th Anniversary shirts are our gift to you. No really.

Believe it or not, we are somewhere close to breaking even on the project. Again, the huge variable is postage. Especially, international postage has become exorbitantly prohibitive with customs, fees, etc.

So thanks for being here folks.

Lastly, thanks to some very generous TW supporters, we were able to make these shirts happen.

    We appreciate you.

  3. Nice! Thanks to the generous Thrasher & generous fans!

Indeed, thanks so much for the blood, sweat, & beers it must have taken to get thru such a process! Hopefully no tears!

I love the tie dye Thrasher’s Wheat 30th Anniversary shirt. I saw the Grateful Dead 40 times when Jerry was alive. I can tell you, these shirts are spectacular tie dye art! And yet subtle, in earth tones. Many such shirts go for the bright colors. But there is more to it than that!

The rusted out rustie grain colors are impressive. Nature in a tie dye, where iron oxidizes. (Rust never sleeps after all, as the admiral said).

    2. Exactly Brother Alan.

      Each shirt unique, hand tied.
