  1. Has Neil ever played Cowgirl, Down by the River, Powderfinger, Southern Man, Cortez, and Hurricane all in the same show? Looks like he did tonight!

  3. I was there last night in Bend to witness & enjoy an incredible show! Sadly missed the opener. Left GA for closer seating. The Rock Gods smiled upon us all in Bend for this show.

The band was great, Neil’s guitar playing was strong, incendiary. His voice was ragged a bit, here at the end of the tour. Neil’s voice showing his age more than in the past. Overall, good singing from Neil & all, a few wrong notes. The Old Man did rock it on the River.

As many reports have said, this band puts a strong wind in Neil’s sails, energizing him, helping him deliver the goods.

    Thanks Neil! Thanks CHs!

They did numerous long songs in an unusual set list. Jamming on long songs early. Many songs had the word “river” in them!

Rain threatened throughout the show. A few drops but no real rain or even drizzle. But they played Like A Hurricane anyway, and it was wonderful.

Highlights for me were Be The Rain, Cortez, Ohio, Long Walk Home, Silver Eagle, Cinnamon Girl, ok, half the songs.

Got a ride in a Tesla & had car trouble which did not prevent us from reaching Bend. For 15 minutes it looked like we were broken down.

    1. Personally, I don't need all 3 of Southern Man, Down By the River, and Cowgirl. Cowgirl, SM, and bring back Sun Green. And definitely could loose the fluff of Silver Eagle for Thrasher (as he said he would play this leg of tour, right?) Both Thrasher and Ambulance Blues. Hell, Vampire Blues, too. At least he dropped Singer Without a Song, and Tumbleweed. Of course, whatever will do. ;-} I hope they start by at least 8:30 at Hollywood Bowl for the last show. 11 pm curfew and all.

    2. Seriously? I mean really. Yer complaining about a setlist I’d give my left nut fer. Maybe the right one too. Jeezus.
      I got a REAL COMPLAINT.
What I Don’t need is a third vinyl of Harvest Moon in the new ORS. And I love Harvest Moon. But to re-package it 3 ways? CashGrab. Hopefully they’ll be plenty of vinyl pressings of Sleeps w/Angels & Mirrorball to go ‘round. (Live is most likely digital master. Got the cd, vhs, dvd)

    3. 8:30pm?
      A 2&1/2 hr show?
U got a better chance of hearing “Dream’n Man”.

    4. @herbsworld Complaint? A discussion on personal desire and setlist is a complaint to you? Did you miss the part about "Whatever will do ;-}" Bite me. Attack someone else. These days.......

      “These days”? “Attack”? “Bite Me”?

  7. Neil Young usually picks his own set list. It isn’t about what I need. But I can say that to me, the long jam songs worked very well to keep me dancing & swaying, enjoying the many long songs as energy streaming out from the stage.

I was out in the crowd to receive it like a solar panel, and it filled me up, energy balance restored! It’s interesting to check the song lists of prior tour dates after the Bend show. What will they play in LA?

  9. If I could ask for one song, it’d be “I’m The Ocean” or “Throw Your Hatred Down” (the latter being more timely than ever in 2025?).

  10. Silver Eagle is a fantastic song. Why? Because his bus driver asked him,”Got any new songs?” Neil Said “No.” Then the driver says, “Why don’t you write a song about a bus?” As told by Neil onstage in Bend. It’s right up there with “Twisted Road” or “Born in Ontario!”
