  1. I was priced out of live concerts years ago, but for those who can still afford the ticket price….. I’m happy for them. This being a benefit, they won’t be cheap for sure.

    Peace 🙏

  2. Apparently after the corona-hiatus Neil Young is intending to re-build his stage presence step by step. A benefit here, a short set there. A (short) solo tour would be the logical next phase. I am confident, that the summer will bring about more dates, but I am also afraid that they will be in Northamerican venues only.

Something of interest caught my eye here

It’s a chance for Nelson to finally see the legendary guitar interplay of Young and Stills up close. “It’s going to be so cool,” he says. “My brother Micah will be there too. I think he’s been working with Crazy Horse too, which is great. There’s going to be a lot of guitar players there.”

If Micah has been working with them, then the summer tour that has been discussed as a possibility, has likely gone from an idea to becoming something that is being seriously considered.

  5. @ Dan - a real dilemma for sure.

but as has been pointed out elsewhere, of all the world's problems, concert ticket prices isn't exactly too high on anyone's list.

nevertheless, this situation has at its roots a fundamental flaw which we see every else.

a monopoly isn't a true reflection of market economics, supply/demand

@ Dionys - interesting theory that this is slow roll out building to a tour.

Let us only hope so. And hope Europe happens in 23 also.

@ Doug - Micah would be an excellent fill in for Nils, for sure.

@ mshare - Buffalo Springfield ?? Stills, Stills & Young Band?

as you suggested elsewhere, maybe Richie shows for a few BS songs??

    fwiw

  6. Sometimes things just work out. After the Willie Birthday show was ridiculously out of range, I was happy to score some tix this morning to Light Up the Blues at a price that was in reason (face value $75) at a venue that I prefer to the Bowl and with a lineup that I think will give Neil more time to stretch out. win-win-win, as they say.

I'm wondering if we might see an appearance by Graham and then together with Croz's son James Raymond we are treated to a Croz tribute. That would be fitting.

Whatever the case, looking forward ....
