"I watched the needle take another man": Neil Young Takes The Jab

Neil Young | Instagram

Neil Young has taken the needle, per his Instagram. (Thanks Rusted Moon!)

Along with his six justifications, is a photo of his wife Darryl Hannah in the film "Kill Bill Vol. 1" as Nurse Elle Driver (see #1 justification above).

“Dying in her sleep is a luxury that our kind is rarely afforded.”

member: DEADLY VIPER ASSASSINATION SQUAD
codename: CALIFORNIA MOUNTAIN SNAKE

We do find this film quite disturbing and creepy. But it's MIRAMAX, so what else would one expect from Producer Harvey Weinstein & Director Quentin Tarantino?

And why on EARTH would Neil post this image of his actress wife Daryl to go with his image of taking the jab?

Well, very, very hopefully,  no damage done ...

  3. Unknown, I cannot let that comment go by without asking: what the hell are you talking about?

And, on the Kill Bill thing, no comment yet from Crosby?

    1. What I am talking about? Flu does not exist anymore! See WHO! How many were killed in fact due to covid and not with covid? Can you tell me?

  4. @Unknown : The official count of Americans killed by COVID as of yesterday is 542,587. Apparently Mother Natures immune system isn’t enough against this virus.

    Peace 🙏

    1. I am German. Are there statistics in the US that show all deaths in fact to due covid and not with covid? In Germany everybody that died with covid is included in covid mortal statistics. So having a deadly car accident and being covid positiv brings you Into statistics
      Piece!

  5. Vaccines, saving lives since 1796, since Jenner noticed milkmaids exposed to cowpox had immunity from smallpox......

  7. The song says "Look at mother nature on the run..." it does not tell you to let her run you (or your immune system for that matter) over.

  8. My parents (85 and 92 years old) were happy to have a jab. I've just joined them this week. Hope everyone here gets their chance as your nations work round the population.

In other news there are about 200 very happy NYA patrons today/night (including me) who had a spontaneous Zoom session with the Archives team 3 hours ago, which turned into a chat-based Q & A.

That's is, with ALL the Archives Team, if you catch my drift.

  10. NYA Patrons score immediate jackpot, no doubt! What a thrill

  11. Hey Unknown...Neil is 75 years old for Pete's sake! You think his immune system is like a 25 year old, don't you, just because his last name is Young! You have some growing up to do!

    1. You are right, probably it is not. But all other courses of disease will probably be worse. That is how this kind of vaccination seems to work.

  12. Wow the patron Zoom call was incredible, I sneaked the first question in too about Toast. Worth the $50 alone for that experience.

  13. The patron call was a lovely surprise and very homespun. Neil answered questions submitted in the chat that were then asked to him by moderator Bonnie and a few other of the NYA team. Takeaways to share the love with you all:

    - Neil looks great.
    - The NYA team all seem like a wonderful group of people.
    - NYA III will span the period from late 1976 to the early 90s(!).
    - NYA III will come available in CD or Blu-Ray(!). All music on the CDs will be on the Blu-Rays as well.
    - Noise + Flowers at the end of this year. It sounds like a tribute to Elliott.
    - Boarding House may be package, with a movie (!), entire show and a collection that Neil is working on with Niko and Joel. He is listening to it now and looks like a 2022 release.
    - Neil is releasing so much, so quickly, because he wants to control it and do it his way.
    - Neil is not sure if 60-0 should go on Road of Plenty or be released separately. He doesn't feel it fits Road of Plenty but because we are all nagging him to release it (letters to the editor work!) he is seriously considering it anyway.
    - If not there, he talked about this cool idea of a 33 single made to look like a 45 with 60-0 on one side and Ordinary People on the other. Sweet.
    - Neil wants to get back in the studio in June with Nils(!).

Stay safe everyone. Get vaccinated. Spring is here and we can start dreaming about going back to gigs and doing normal stuff like hugging.

  14. I recorded the Zoom audio on good old Minidisc, first time I've done that in years. 22 minutes of Rustie heaven. Thanks Shakey.

  15. The patron call email came with 3 hrs notice of the start time & it's implied that this is how things will happen in future.

Neil was wearing a pair of slightly grubby dungarees and looked as if he had just been out feeding the chickens and realised he has supposed to be online.

Neil implied he had booked Nils for 20th June - in time for the Strawberry Moon - and hoped he would be able to turn up.

Also mentioned that Poncho was swimming every day & in good shape and hinted there's still thoughts of a world tour.

At the end he asked that we were all unmuted to be able to shout out to the team. My teenage son commented that since Neil hadn't toured for ages he probably got as much from us calling out greetings (rather than emailing) as we did actually calling out with totally stupid grins on our faces.

    Totally surreal and joyous.

And work up this morning to find Young Shakespeare has dropped. When to sleep?

  19. Just in case you don't get it: Das Autounfall-Argument im Zusammenhang mit Covid 19 ist vermutlich das bescheuertste Quer-"denker"-Argument, das im Umlauf ist. And you see: I am German too, I am with the vast majority in our country and easily very embarrassed by covidiots. Go see an intensive care unit with Covid 19 patients before babbling away.

  21. Translation of the German text above: The car accident argument in the covid 19 context probably is the dumbest of all arguments currently brought forward by covid 19 deniers. And for clarification: A corona infected car accident victim in Germany is not counted among the 75 000+ corona victims in Germany.

  22. Dionys, thanks for clarifying because I had no idea.. "car accident argument"- really? I thought unknown was talking about co-morbidity, which is clearly taking place and has always had a role to play in infectious disease mortality. In the US there are people arguing that it is not COVID but diabetes and obesity, etc.. Influenza tends to kill the very young and very old, TB annihilates the malnourished, and so forth. There is nothing new in this (as I am sure you know). But it does somehow become a feature in the discussion, owing I am afraid to a drastic ignorance about the nature of disease, morbidity, and mortality. The only point that maters now is that the vaccine will save many of the people who suffer with these other problems, save them from a miserable and lonesome death- thanks to Neil for posting his justifications, but in a better informed existence, no such proclamations would be necessary

  23. Neil has railed for years against GM foods. He's fought on the side of the farmers, and supporting farmer's markets, and "Homegrown is the way it should be." He released a whole album decrying The Monsanto Years and followed it up with a double live album extolling the beauties of EARTH...

And then he goes out and gets himself genetically modified.

And don't come at me. Don't come at me until you have gone and listened to the likes of Stefan Lanka, Andrew Kaufman, Thomas Cowan, Sam Bailey, Amandha Vollmer and a handful of other medical parties having the courage to speak out about the absurdities going on at the present time.
