According to a reply to a Letter to Editor on NYA, Neil Young is working on a new solo album.
Neil Young: "I've started a new album. It's solo. I've waited a long time for this."So we end the Year 2020 looking forward to new Neil Young music in 2021. As noted, in our annual Neil Young 2020 Year in Review: The Year That Was NOT Rockin' in the Free World, while Neil was relatively dormant from a concert performance perspective, it was prolific in terms of music releases.

Under the current circumstances a solo album seems to be appropriate, and I for one would welcome a solo Neil Young release right about now. I can only imagine the interesting observations will write about. After all, it’s been one heck of a year for everyone, everywhere. Personally, I wouldn’t even know where to start, as I’ve become somewhat overwhelmed by this past year. Numb, but not comfortably so.

@ Dan - yes, solo seems like the only option under circumstances.
maybe Fireside Sessions inspired some creativity? thematically, hopefully some uplifting messages for 2021 from Neil would be auspiciously good start.
