The song "Carmichael" from "RETURN TO GREENDALE" film is scheduled to re-premiere today in Hearse Theater Screen #2 | Neil Young Archives.

Directed by L.A. Johnson and Bernard Shakey, Chapter III of RETURN TO GREENDALE is performed live in Toronto with full cast. Each Monday will feature a chapter from Greendale.

As the story of Greendale proceeds, Jed shoots Officer Carmichael in a "split second blunder" after being pulled over. Jed's activities seem suspicious in the "See something, say something" post-9/11 atmosphere with "camouflage hung in his closet, guns all over the wall; plans for buildings and engineers, and a book with no numbers at all." Officer Carmichael, appears to have had secrets, as well. Carmichael's relationship with his wife is circumspect, along with his fellow officers and their perfunctory farewell.
