  2. Neil fans heckled Jonathan Richman? What idiots.
He's a great, unique voice with great, unique songs, not unlike our main man over here.

  4. @wsanjose, nice to hear ya had a good time. A couple nice additions to the setlist, I'm a big fan of Love To Burn, hope it was a thumper.

The other possible encore choices looked juicy, maybe you folks get a Walk Like A Giant tomorrow.

  7. we hear jonathan richman was heckled and booed in Fresno. That's sad - jonathan was great and appreciated in bakersfield. He was the great idea of an opener for Neil. As for Neil/CH - it was epic, Neil was happy, relaxed. Howell told us you said hi thrasher - we say hi back, too bad you couldn't make it.

  8. Live stream sounded great, and Nils Lofgren very good on rythym guitar.
Any reason given for Poncho"s absence?

  10. Fresno day 3 2nd row balcony. I was surrounded by die hard NY fans such as myself. Every song was a sing along it was great fun and camaraderie. Friday was Yosemite. Beautiful day in the park, if crowded. But if you want to go to the valley in spring/summer you have to expect allot of people. Sat Bakersfield. The backstage area was in front of the theater with the buses as one wall of sorts. I accidentally walked into it and saw Billy Talbot standing there. I said hi and thanked him for coming back to the band. He just looked at me like "who the hell are you?" lol . Then a large man intercepted us and asked if I had a pass. I of course did not and he without delay escorted me to the exit . Inside I had floor seats about 12 rows back. About twice the cost of the balconys but its all I had the option to buy that afternoon. on each side of me were couples who had never seen NY before. The one of the left he even told me his friend had bought the tickets like maybe it was by accident he was even there. as the band comes on I go to light up. he tells me theres no smoking. he says he can lose his job if he tests positive. I say well Im not even offering it to you and take 2 hits. I remind him its a rock concert. I ask if hes a cop and say he does sort of look like one. He says hes not as his wife rubs his leg in a attempt to calm him down? I dunno. After a few more songs I move to the left side aisle. much more room to move and dance a little . It was cramped. if youre sitting theres always somones butt in your face or vice a versa. Im glad I went. it was great fun but wish I had just flown into San Jose. I could have saved money and allot of driving effort
