ReplyDeleteYa Thrasher, what is that all about?
ReplyDeleteBe a cool name for an album.
Syscrusher - definitely a cool title "The Visitor".
ReplyDelete... he's just a lonely visitor ... who thought he came too late to cause a stir... but managed to anyways ...
Of course I didn't notice the Campaigner connection.

ReplyDeleteBy the way, HITCHHIKER is being released on SHM-CD by Warner Japan.
ReplyDeleteAm I alone in thinking that Neil looked very old - even unwell as he slowly read from his script?
ReplyDelete@Julie: I had the same feeling.....hope he was just tired.
ReplyDeleteI also noticed that @ Julie. Even a little "shakey" as he held the script.......
ReplyDeleteBut I also noticed he played Hitch Hiker off an "LE" model PoNo Playa.
Very Cool.
I think Neil looks great for 71.
ReplyDeleteThe air in Telluride is very low oxygen compared to what most of us are used to. It's very clean up there, but until one is acclimated, the reduced oxygen has been very noticeable to me anyway. It takes a surprisingly minimal amount of exertion to make one feel physically and mentally, just a little sludgy.
He's not reading from a script, by the way. He's reading from his book Special Deluxe.
I like the low key way the DJ presented him.
Yeah he's starting to look his age now, isn't he? I suppose time catches up with everyone.
ReplyDelete@ Muddy. hope yer right, 'bout the air up there b/c yer WRONG about him not reading from a "script". It may have been lines from his book, but it certainly did not look like a book to me. It looked like a piece of paper with words on it, A script.
ReplyDeleteNeither here nor there, anywhich way, just hope Neil is o.k.
did anyone make a transcript of the FB interview?
ReplyDeletespecifically - did anyone ask when the archives site will "go online" with new unreleased music?
Neil: "These songs, that no one ever heard before". That is not the case with "Human highway". Performed first time 1973 with CSN&Y in San Francisco.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, funny to remember,15. mars 76 in Oslo when Neil&CH played in Ekerberghallen. I was there, 13 years old, Some months before Hitchhiker recording he played "Sad movies", "No one seems to know", "too far gone", acoustic. And with CH, "Country home" and "Lotta love". Five unreleased songs back then, amongst so many, that Neil did not choose when recording in august.
Forever Younger - You're right on the script. I was thinking it was from the end of chapter 27 of Special Deluxe. It's actually an expanded version of what was published in the book. Take my advice, don't listen to me. But the air is mighty thin in Telluride.
