  1. Anyone know what's going on with the vinyl for Hitchhiker? I've been to several stores in the LA area and called many others. Nobody has it. It's also out of stock on Amazon. Seeing reports on Steve Hoffman forums of problems with warped copies.

  2. I was lucky that I ordered it early. My copy is flat, silent and glorious. My local store says its on backorder, but that more is on the way.

  4. I also preordered my copy from Amazon and it was absolutely fine. Indeed it was the best sounding "new" record I've bought. No problem with warping or ridiculous amounts of surface noise. I think Reprise was caught by surprise by how many people wanted this on on vinyl.
I'm sure they will be back out there soon. Now if they could start bringing down the prices of new vinyl,I think it really start to come back in a big mainstream sort of way!

  5. I also per ordered it on Amazon and mine is warped but it plays beautifully and sound amazing. We have a place in Phoenix that can flatten records that are warped and we're going to see if they can flatten it out a bit, but as it is it plays okay yet I'm very particular about how warped is acceptable and this one is on the cusp.

We played the CD first and were really impressed with the sound and then played the vinyl and were just blown away by the layers you feel with vinyl that just aren't there on the CD. We both felt the difference instantly.

    Peace

  6. I like that interview, Neil looks...well, YOUNG there. Smiling and laughing good. 88 years of an itch between 'em finally scratched. That album is a gem of a recording a snipet of time in the annals of history. An excellent grab of feel and exposure to the music at its origin. Know when you see him, nothing can free him....but that comes damn close. KORITFW!!
