  6. I thought there would be new songs, as I heard them sound checking while hiking the Judd Wiebe trail. Sound was not crystal, but the only song I recognized was Indian Giver. I thought I heard No More, but then convinced myself I was mistaken.

The new song section was a little bit of a drag for me. Hard to follow the always stellar solo opening and first couple of PoTR songs. But happy to hear he is creating new stuff, as it keeps him energized. I thought the last two new songs were better than the first two. Themes seemed to be in line with Indian Giver. Not about Indians, but just about messing with the earth. I think one of the first two was called "Neighborhood", I heard Neil tell Micah (who asked what they were playing).

Love and Only Love ... It must have been 35 minutes long. I love a good long jam, but I'm over this song. Twenty minutes is enough! Or extend a different song. After it was over, the rest of the show was top shelf.

I've Been Waiting For You was started and aborted twice. Neil not happy with tuning. They then switched to Everybody Knows.

Clocked in a bit shy of 2.5 hours. I can't wait for tonight, hope they play a bunch of different songs. The venue and area is incredible.

Also, I met a bunch of friendly locals from a nearby town that said Neil actually lives there a chunk of the year. I was worried about the altitude limiting his performance, but he is used to it.

  8. It was a phenomenal show. I had hoped for I've Been Waiting For You, which was started and aborted twice. Makes the show even more unique, I suppose. Grisly an unforgettable show. Yes, Love and Only Love was 30+ minutes, but it killed. Sorry im missing tonight.

  9. Incredible show tonight. Better than last night for my personal taste.

After listening to the new songs again, I might have been a bit off in my earlier description. Maybe not a specific theme, sort of a RITFW general vibe, if that makes any sense. And seeing as they played it twice, with Neil adding new lyrics, I think that's where his head is at these days.

Aside from Dylan, the other acts will be dropping greatest hits at Coachella. I wouldn't be surprised if Neil gets some more new songs out and just befuddles the masses. Gotta love him.

Was funny that they had marijuana plants on stage. Assuming they were real.
