Here's a new music video of the song "Tumbleweed" by Neil Young from the new album Storytone.

Video features 92-piece, in-studio orchestra that was arranged, conducted and co-produced by Michael Bearden and Chris Walden.

This is video #5 of the Storytone album rollout.

  2. The solo version of Tumbleweed is my favourite song on Storytone.

Not a fan of any of the orchestral performances. I think a small ensemble might have been interesting (eg, just one violin, viola, cello, and bass) but the full orchestra makes the songs sound like they belong in a Disney movie.

BTW, did anyone else notice Nico Bolas lurking around behind Neil in some of the videos?

  6. I rest my case

Tumbleweed, your inner spirit is a peace sign to me
Life is full of little tricks and we can always pick up sticks
And build again, that’s what we do

Harmony, the way we hold on when we tumble though the night
Life is full of strange delights, in the darkness we find lights
To make our way, back home again

Tumbleweed, I’m baring my soul to you
Tumbleweed, it’s all that I’ve got that’s true

Bite me now, with your confusion, your happiness and delight
It will only hurt a moment, then it’s gone and you can see
There’s nothing left, to leave a mark

Animal, care for your kind, in the way you always do
When the flower moon is shining, it’s eclipse and your lips smiling
Comfort me and I comfort you

Tumbleweed, your inner spirit is a peace sign to me

  7. I think this is a beautiful song either version. I think people if they actually listen to the record will find it much better than they think. Each listen brings out more the litmus test
    for a great record
i say stop making jokes about the record and start listening

  8. Agree with Joseph

Some of these folks are inexplicably bitter and cynical

It's a lovely song on a wonderful record

    Why come here to bash?

  10. Has anybody noticed the irony of Neil's new album Storytone came after him starting to date Daryl Hannah; and Jackson Browne's CD "I'm alive" writen about his breakup with Daryl Hannah, many years ago?
