"Passenger"/("Boxcar") by Neil Young: Spokane, 2-23-89 ▶ YouTube

A little blast from the past for your Monday morning.

Neil Young performing "Passenger" in Spokane 2-23-89. The actual title of song is "Boxcar".

"I'm just a passenger
on this old freight train
I ride a boxcar through the night
I doesn't matter where I might get off
It doesn't matter where I light"

Aren't we all really just passengers?

  1. That's the definitive version of that song. I heard it in New Orleans on that same tour. Very eerie sounding but much better than the one on Chrome Dreams II.

  2. This early version for Times Square was great. Another song for Archives Vol.3.

  3. Neil does it right each time even when it deviates from an earlier version.
