Thrasher's Wheat Radio is Coming!

Starting this Saturday, August 18 at 9:00 PM EST, the Thrashers Wheat Radio Hour, where feedback is back! Every week we'll ride the rusty human highway to bring you the best Neil Young news and reviews, rumors and musings....plus rare and unreleased tracks that will keep you rockin' in the free world!

Thrashers Wheat Radio Hour is presented and produced each week by WBKM.org in the heart of Burlington, Vermont.

Here's our rockin' little promo:

Thanks to Eric & Tony at WBKM.org for making this happen. It's been a long time coming and we hope this all works out.

Check it out this weekend.

And, in case you're wonderin', this is something totally different from the legendary Rust Radio.

Don't Be Denied.

  7. Oh hey, look:

If you go to the wbkm website at

    http://wbkm.org/

They have a cute flower in the upper right that you can click on to apparently listen to a live stream right on the internet.

Yay, we'll all be able to support Thrasher's Wheat Radio!

So will Thrasher and Thrashette be hosting the show? I am assuming that'll be the case.

  9. Everyone, everywhere can listen...although some of you might have to stay up a little bit late if you're on the other side of the pond. We stream 24/7, and are so proud to be in this relationship with Thrasher (and Thrashette) to share this music we so love! LIVE every Saturday at 9PM ET...show archive will be available in the near future...Tony and Eric at wbkm.org

  25. Has anyone gotten the WBKM stream working on a Mac outside the US? I was kind of hoping to wake up and have my Sat morning toast and coffee with Thrasher's Radio, but can't seem to get the stream working...

  26. Congratulations Thrasher, on the culmination of what must have been a lot of preparation and all the hard work that must have come with it. This is great news, listening to the radio and actually hearing Neil Young! What a concept. Still a little unclear, will you be hosting the show, Thrasher?

  27. Hmm. just realized the show is live on Sunday morning in my time zone, not Sat... well, I still need to get the stream working...

  28. Well this a most excellent surprise, very well done Thrasher and Thrashette, you`re getting to be as unpredictable as Neil himself! I`ll try and stay up late enough to tune in, how exciting!

Clicking on the flower icon opens a media player screen but doesn`t automatically play for me. I`m in the UK and running Linux/Firefox, and in the bottom right hand corner of that screen I can click on an upward pointing arrow and then click on “Open with Movie Player”, which then opens and it starts streaming. Just thought that might be useful info for someone else.

    Congrats Thrasher and thank you!

  29. To all Mac users who might need help...if you download the free Flip4mac plugin you should be all set! We welcome all of those who, like us, have been fans of Thrasher's great work for years. We will gladly answer direct inquires at wbkm@comcast.net as well. Tony and Eric, founders, WBKM.

  30. Aha,
The combination of Firefox and Flip4Mac 3.0 Beta is what I needed to listen in on MacOS 10.8.

Thrasher, you've got a breakfast date with Hong Kong on Sunday morning.
