  5. why does thrasher give such promo to one of the contesters anyway? it ain't that fair i guess, don't you think?

keep this invite a fair one with equal chances and let the song of everyone be the most important with as less influence of promo for one artist by mayor sites as possible.

  12. Hey Thrasher and fellow NY fans... thanks much for the post! It was a cool thing to walk in and see after being out of town for four days. :)

I actually found out about the NY Americana contest via Thrasher's Wheat, and since Thrasher and I have communicated on and off for years about All Things Neil, I was happy to share my entry with him as a friend. I'm sure he didn't mean to give me any advantage over any other song submissions, and I'm glad to see that was seemingly straightened out.

In any case, winning was a very low priority for me. I was happy to have the chance to do a song I would have never otherwise tackled, and to do something inspired by Neil. I'm happy with the result of the tune, and send congrats to the winning entries. I heard a lot of good stuff on there, so thanks to everyone who submitted!

  13. In my mind the first track i heard on Americana that was astounding in evey way is Jesus Chariot.Still is weeks later.Listening to NY,s albums since 69 there is always at least one gem on every album.Americana has a whole bunch but Jesus Chariot has it all
