VIDEO: "Mansion On The Hill" by Neil Young & Crazy Horse

Neil Young in "Mansion On The Hill" video

Probably one of our favorite songs on the 1990 Ragged Glory album by Neil Young & Crazy Horse is "Mansion On The Hill".

This is the official video for the song and is a clever mix of performance and concept. What more could you ask for? Neil in a white collar preacher's outfit?! Now that is just whacky.

And, the song features a choir, so you if you're leery of the upcoming Americana, you can maybe get a better feel for Neil Young & Crazy Horse music arranged with this concept.

  3. Wow. It's been 22 years ago RG came out? I've gotta dig out my VHS copy of these videos and see if my old player still works.
Now I really hope he's takin' a baby aspirin every night.

  6. Favorite live version was the encore second night of The Horde Festival back in 1997...harmonies were sublime. So different from the versions in '91 when Neil was pissed off; this was wistful and like a dream that you could almost reach out and touch.
