Neil Young & Crazy Horse will headline with Green Day the 2012 Voodoo Fest in New Orleans on Halloween weekend.
The festival is Oct. 26-28. The complete lineup for the 14th annual Voodoo Experience, to be unveiled in the coming months, will eventually total around 150 acts.

Ughhh...as much as I love New Orleans this will likely not be the best venue to see Neil & CH. Crazy hot...crazy drunks...I must be getting old and lame...in 1995 I drove to New Orleans to see Pearl Jam with the Ramones in City Park on the boycott Ticketbastard tour...one of the greatest shows I ever saw...ok I changed my mind...
ReplyDeleteFinally after 40 years I'll get to see the Horse.Every time I saw Neil it was either with the Stray Gators,International Harvestors or the Restless in Louisiana. Missed them in '91.I'll be there for sure this time.Running out of time.
ReplyDeleteThe Clemintine video was something else-mesmerizing is the word. I can't even recall the song. That knife throwing mama was incredible and so were her kids. I really can't remember the song at all no wonder it was rejected..
ReplyDeleteSo excited about this! I'm definitely planning to go. They should announce single-day ticket prices at some point (I believe they were around $70-75 last year).
ReplyDeleteIs there some place to sit or is this standing room only.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for more East Coast dates. Preferably non festival.
ReplyDeleteI hope they come to PNC Arts Center in New Jersey. I saw them there on the Greendale tour, and it was a really nice venue. Outdoor, big lawn, nice crowd.

Anonymous: You can bring blankets and folding chairs, but the area directly in front of the stage is designated standing room only. http://thevoodooexperience.com/frequently-asked-questions/
ReplyDeleteA tip for those planning to attend-- spring for the VIP ticket if you can afford to. It gets you up close to the stage (still GA, but much more elbow room), and carries with it other perks.
ReplyDeleteLast year they only sold the 3-day VIP ticket in advance of the show, but then offered a VIP upgrade (after you were in the fest with a normal ticket) for a charge.
What happened to the October 25 Dallas date for the tour?!!
ReplyDeletePlease come to the UK!!! :)
