Holiday Memories: Eddie Vedder Sings a Christmas Ditty @ Bridge 94 Concert

In 10-1-1994 at Bridge School Benefit, Pearl Jam played their b-side rarity "Let Me Sleep."Part 18 of the Touring Lost Dogs series. A beautiful song about childhood memories of Christmas.

This is the only time the song has been played live.

More on Pearl Jam and Neil Young.

  2. Thanks for the vid Thrasher. The song is actually about what Christmas is like for a homeless person though. There is also a version of Ed and Mike doing it in Italy in 2006 in PJ20, although it is not in front of a crowd.

  3. Cold wind blows on the soles of my feet

    Heaven knows nothing of me

    I'm lost nowhere to go

Oh when I was a kid oh how magic it seemed

Oh please let me sleep it's Christmas time

Flowered winds was where I lived

Thought you burned not froze for your sins

Oh I'm so tired and cold

Oh when I was a kid oh how magic it seemed

Oh please let me sleep it's Christmas time

Oh oh when I was a kid oh how magic it seemed

Oh please let me sleep it's Christmas time

Oh oh when I if I was a kid oh how magic it seemed

Oh please let me dream it's Christmas time ...

Actually, this is a good reminder about the importance of volunteering at the many homeless shelters throughout the country.
