The author of an upcoming book on Neil Young is looking for memorabilia from fans for use in the book.
Any high resolution jpegs files of cool Neil memorabilia (concert posters, stubs, magazine covers etc.). Images would need to be sized at least 3 x 5 @300dpi.
Submissions would be uncompensated, but fans submitting memorabilia scans that are used for publication would be fully credited in the book.
If you have something to submit, contact Glen Boyd at alkiguy1@q.com

Seriously, why do we need another book? What new ground can be plowed (other than separating money from fans)?
ReplyDeleteAs author of the book in question (and a lifelong fan), I can assure you that my intention is not to separate money from fans or anyone else. In fact, I doubt very seriously I'll be quitting my day job, which barely pays the bills I might add (if only you knew...) anytime soon.
ReplyDeleteRather, Neil Young FAQ is intended as the one place where everyone from the diehard fan to the budding "Neil-phyte" might learn something new about the artist, and particularly about his music (which is covered in depth). Part of Backbeat's "FAQ Series" (Fab Four FAQ, U2 FAQ), the book is intended as a detailed guide to "everything left to know" about this brilliant and enduring rock and roll icon.
As such, I was honored when I was approached to write it some two years ago. The year I spent putting it together was a labor of love, and one that I'm quite sure won't be paying for my retirement.
Anyone with jpegs of memorabilia is encouraged to reply to the article Thrasher posted above, and which I graciously thank him for doing.
