this is an interesting idea, having a contest whose winner may be recorded by Neil. But, is there any confirmation that this is not a scam?

  9. well i haven't been to the wheat for a while and i got a bit excited about a neil poem contest..now ya sayin' its a scam
    well anyways here's my entry:

    The Quest:

A single mind, a single vision
    a single thought,that I've been wishin'

My life gets clouded, with my ambition
not always clear, but its my decision

a simple man, is what I am
don't need no bling, don't need no glam

Just give me my friends,my axe and my passion
Don't need any lines, thats outa fashion!

Lord, give me the strength, to enjoy what I love
To travel, discover and follow the peace dove

Give me the humility,my ego's intact
give me the tranquility,to where I can retract

Give me the spirit, enrich my soul
give me the direction,to seek my full goal

they are humble hopes,to come to fruition
And the life it evokes, has no limits or condition

Grant my wish, to let me follow my dream
    A simple life!....a simple dream!

    (This one's for you Thrasher)
    America,remember her,
    When the truth was overblown,
    The government will cradle you,
When the freedom's dead and gone,
It's gonna be a hard one,
When you gaze into the light,
    A difficult one,
When the speck,it's in your eye,
    You look around,
    You don't understand,
    You can't hear a sound,
With your head stuck in the sand.

  13. Here entry since its a scam! Thats a shame I was so into it.

    When Neil sings his songs
    My heart gets strong.
Its like he knows my inner soul.
He sings to me with sweet harmony.
He knows where Iv been which shakes me deep within.
Hes meant to be with me, In my soul I know where my life will go.
When I see Neil I shutter with a chill.
When I hear his songs I know I belong.
This ole world keeps coming down!
but at least I know I can listen to Neil on the radio.
I have aged with time, My heart stays strong.
    When Neil sings his songs.
