....and that is just one man with one instrument....
ReplyDeleteyou'd swear he had a 4 piece backing band on stage..he just seems to have the ability to resonate so many different sounds and notes from That one guitar..amazing..his voice still sounds strong..and of course you'd have to change the arrangement when playing some of thes classics solo
Look its not a 4 way street version... but if that doesn't still bristle the hairs on ya neck..your not a real fan!!

Right there Doc!
ReplyDeleteKeep on rockin' Neil!

(2nd try) what can Neil do next? I offer two ideas...an all-piano solo show and/or Crazy Horse Unplugged...Neil Young is the bravest Artist in Rock and Roll IMHO

The new Neil solo electric is freakin awesome.
ReplyDeleteIt's raw and pure.
Just about to leave for the Wallingford show...
ReplyDeleteOver the years, fans such as myself and perhaps you, have taken our electric guitars, amps & effects and attempted to mimic classic Neil Young tunes solo in our garages and basements. Now Neil takes his electric guitars, his amps and effects solo, thereby mimicking classic Neil Young fans. The wheel keeps spinnin'!
ReplyDeleteGreat post Thrasher. This was the pinnacle of it the other night! Thanks phishphun!
ReplyDeleteChuck-what you said.
ReplyDeleteThe video stream selection along the bottam at the end of this has a stronger audio

Got to be in the book of top 20 most memorable guitar riffs!..every budding guitarist would have tried to negotiate this at one time or another, be it acoustic, electric or with a 10 piece backing band..but I still think Neil "owns" this song..whether its his voice, combined with his guitar style..nothin' beats the original..it still grabs me!!
