Reminds me of when I was a kid and every Saturday when my brother and I got our $1 allowances we would run to the store and buy two 45's off the hot 40 list or whatever else we'd find and run home and listen to 'em non-stop for 7 days and the next week do it all over again. Played on the trusty Jamboree Jukebox. Heart of Gold and Old Man among 'em. And a little Alice,Elton, Bread, Maria Muldour,etc.........the cheap price of eternal memories. (Help me I thihnk I'm falling....)
ReplyDeleteAh memories Sony....I remember the days when I used to go to a blog site called Thrasher's Wheat..it opened up a whole new Neil world for me..all these passionate Neil fans inter relating their experiences, their joys and disappointments..it was fun!.. I learnt a lot about Neil I didn't know..I learnt a lot about people's personalities I didn't know..sadly these days are gone now..people change..
ReplyDeleteLike migration, they move on to another world..
There's a world where livin' in
Everyone else, can be a part
can throw their comments in the ring
Take them in,blog from the heart
Sony, its been fun, and I have enjoyed the experience and banter the bloggers comments and debates..I'm afraid "comment moderation/deletion" has got the better of me and I've hit my frustrated head against the wall one too many times.
I'll still enjoy coming to the wheat as always but at the moment, only in a read only capacity as its is pointless commenting even if I have something relevant to say,coz it only gets deleted(as this will)
I hope my financial contribution has helped Thrash keep the site alive and wish all my blogging friends? the best
Keep on bloggin' in the T world
luv doc
Doc, I was wondering where you were, maby on a journey or something like that, leave that blues behind and please come back!!! This site is not the same without your funny/interesting comments and your point of views!

Doc -
ReplyDeleteall in moderation I've been told. The good book states nearly that man can stear a great ship with but a small rudder but cannot bridle his own tongue. I'm neutral as this is not my place to judge. I have laughed with you and cried with you. It's all about civility and courtesy. I would never want to believe there was a different set of rules. I've been corrected myself. Though at times painful, when I've been aware of mine I've tried mending mine own. Keep rocking it doc, just don't tip it over.
Doc, so there you are! I agree with Isa above, this site is not the same without you. I miss your humour and sense of fun, without which things can sometimes get a bit, well, intense.
ReplyDeleteI hope Thrasher will let you continue to participate.
Good luck mate!
Your friend, Jill
