Same exact set list as Winnipeg minus "Cortez." A great show, Neil was vibrant. A mad genius at work.
We saw the 'Stringman' come down form the rafters after show when the crew was packing up the gear. Would've loved to hear "Hurricane," but i guess beggars can't be choosers. Highlight was definitely "Cowgirl," Neil played it with same fire as when he was a young man...

  3. The Regina show was perfect! Neil brought with him an old spirit of rock and roll, which was absolutely infectious. The crowd was hanging on his every word.

  10. "SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHO IS OPENING FOR NEIL IN CHICAGO. I THINK IT WILL BE MY MORNING JACKET"

It won't be MMJ, they have just cancelled their entire European tour due to Jim James injuring himself on stage the other week.

  11. Awesome concert, I've seen Neil and the International Harvesters, with Crazy Horse (Pocahantas on the Year of the Horse was recorded in Regina)and with CSNY in 06'. This was without a doubt the best over-all concert experience as it was largely a greatest hits show. It was interesting that he called Spirit Road a new song from a couple of albums ago. Of the new songs I liked Sea Change best, Just Singing A song was OK and When Worlds Collides just didn't grab me, adn I love 99% of Neil's music. This is not just a 63 yr old guy going through the motions, Neil continues to be the real deal, he knows that rust never sleeps!! Dylan comes to Regina in 2 weeks and he's got a hard act to follow here

Note: I got my tickets from 'tickets now' as well. They were late arriving but I was able to get replacement tickets no problem, the people at the 1-800 I called were very helpful.

  12. What a great Neil Young Performance. Neil Young at his unforgetable best. But those two opening bands "Everest" & Death Cab for Cutie were a complete waste of good stage time. Neil does not need these guys to warm the crowd up for his performance. Just, my two cents.

  13. Neil Young in Regina was great! Very energetic performance, absolutely full of energy.
As one would expect from a classic star, his music transcends beyond generations. Timeless.

The "no logo" youth of today, were sure to pick up the lost label on his drink. Nice to give commericialism a kick in the process. No wonder we like this guy.

Neil, if you like the flatness out here, you are always welcome to ride your bike out in the summer and enjoy the scenery.
