CDII is now #7 on Amazon
ReplyDeleteLucky New Yorkers. How come most of the rest of us only get one measley night? I bet he's going to tear those shows up.
ReplyDeleteHey of course CDII is up there.... reprise just mailed out 20,000+ copies to ticket buyers ! CDII won't sell shit after that.I wouldnt even rank it in his top 25 records.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I might be lucky being in New York. I'm doing 3 shows. Would do more if it werent so damn expensive.
I love Neil but he should have added a free show. I remember seeing him for free and for 3 bucks in tiny places, so I'll repeat that I'll never forget him for that. Does anybody have a clue or can anyone give us any tiny reason to not be discouraged by his charging so much. If it was anyone else, I'd call him a money-grubbing whore, but "I remember the good old days", so it's hard to "walk on". If any of you have Neil's ear and can somehow be extremely brave, please tell him that this is wrong. Glad he's around getting it done anyway.
ReplyDeleteHey
ReplyDeleteThere was quite a few discussions and arguments before about these ticket prices. I heard every excuse under the sun, but nothing I heard justified it. Alot of people think it's perfectly fine to charge whatever the maximum that one can get away with, but I doubt these are fans who go back 35-40 years with Neil.
those of us who have followed Neil for 35-40 years know who Neil was, where he came from and that clearly this is WRONG....VERY WRONG to charge $ 200 a ticket. This is not the Neil Young mentality that we knew before.
nothing wrong with him making good $, but charging double and triple what other solid artists(and some more popular) charge, I believe, will leave many rememebring Neil in a very different light than The Days that Used to Be !!!!
Yes, I complained about ticket prices, but I love the music and paid it several times......but I also know quite a few Neil fans that had to pass. HAD TO PASS because of high prices and that is realy a bummer to hear. Neil, you listening ? You lost some real hard core fans ! And the concensus is that you sold out to maximum profit at the expense of the fans.
Too bad Neil.Do you realy want that to be part of your legacy ?
now he is playing 6 night in New York.Imagine if tickets were $ 60 ! he could have played 3 or 4 weeks in New York !
I have a few extra tickets for New York dec. 18th and 13th. they are from ticketmaster auction and are great center orchestra seats. They are pricey, but I am not looking to make a penny. Just asking what I paid.
ReplyDeleteif interested, post a note with your e mail.
