Campaign for Farm Aid 2008 in Vermont

A campaign is just beginning to get organized to bring next year's Farm Aid to Vermont.

The first meeting of the 2008 Farm Aid Vermont Committee is scheduled for Thursday, September 6th, 2007 at 7PM at the LACE store on Main St. in Barre, VT. This will be a meeting to set timetables, introduce yourself, discuss the future agenda and to begin to understand how we can all work together to make this happen for Vermont, for farming and for our families. Bring questions, ideas, comments, notepads and whatever else you think is important to this historic meeting.

  1. This is for Farm aid 2009 not 2008.

HR 875 could also be used to attack dietary supplements by not moving them along with CFSAN (Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition) over to the new Food Safety Agency that this bill would create inside the Department of Health and Human Services. If this did happen, FDA would have a much easier time attacking dietary supplements and trying to regulate them as "drugs" which they're NOT!!! We must insist language be written into HR 875 specifically forbidding dietary supplements from staying at FDA if food in common for is shifted over to this new Food Safety Agency.

Please go here http://www.usalone.com/cgi-bin/petition.cgi?pnum=960 to kill or amend a slew of so called "Food Safety Bills" that threaten to destroy small farmers and even attack backyard gardeners. Please send your comments to your Congressman and Senators, you can also send your concerns to your local newspapers.

Please share this information with EVERYONE!!!

    Sincerely,
    James Benjamin Roth
