  1. But don't we all know that there was 'no genocide"? I mean, this is what the US government is saying as they endeavor to rewrite history (following the Chinese template roughly). The propaganda is overcoming reality? God Bless Neil for giving it his all on this. We need Neil, the country needs Neil. We are becoming quite desperate in the fight for truth.

    2. @ Abner Snopes :

Ya, the whitewash Continues: of Gaza Genocide & Israeli Government culpability in human rights violations & its policy of genocide of the Palestinians. It must stop. World court waiting to prosecute.

Biden was happy enough giving Bibi tons of weapons & bombs to keep killing the Palestinians. The IDF regularly targets kids as the food aid is handed out! Aid workers killed, fired upon by IDF forces, same with the medics. The IDF has leveled Gaza.

This is unacceptable! Your US tax dollars & mine! We must correct the democracy! No Kings! No Arch! Hell No!

We are going to sweep the idiot king right out of power, like garbage that he is. He is such a low, treacherous, nasty & evil half man.

Good of Neil to do so many real benefit shows & to support the right activist’s & individuals.

Meanwhile, Iran has us beat, Trump still doesn’t get it. He can shove this Arch right up his bum! No Fucking way are we going along with this vulgar insult to freedom itself! An Arch would be counter to our principles in the US! We DO NOT build monuments to living presidents. It’s vulgar for dip shit to try to do it.

    3. Alan,
A 250’ Arch would also directly obstruct the view from the Lincoln Memorial to Arlington National Cemetery.
What a way to honor those who gave ALL on Memorial Day.

    4. I am with you brother! It’s an abomination, an insult to those who served fighting dictators like Trump intends to be.

  2. The current updates on the terrible situation going on in this country in the world are very relevant. And I'm glad people are speaking up. On another topic I would like to add that it is great to see that Neil came out and played some of his classics at a benefit show

  3. Putin says an end to his war in Ukraine is coming. Any day now. Then he launches a barrage of missiles and advises the U.S. to evacuate their embassies.
T Rump says negotiations are going well. And an end to his war is near. The strait will be open soon. Enriched near weapons grade uranium will soon be turned over to the U.S.
T Rump & his buddy Bibi are now resuming their bombing campaign in southern Iran.
What a way to honor our fallen on Memorial Day.
    Lie & deny.
Putin’s puppet is also Bibi’s puppet.

  4. If I remember correctly the event was held to celebrate David Suzuki and his 90th birthday i.e. the scientist and media person who for decades has been advocating efforts to protect Northamerican environment and indigenous peoples' rights. He is an outspoken critic of policies and entrepreneurial projects which ultimately will result in ecocide and also have and continue to have genocidal consequences for the aboriginal nations surviving in both Canada and the US.
It is a bitter irony that whenever someone like Suzuki points at these more or less domestic crises, admittedly with global impacts, continuing and ongoing (!) the typical reaction is to somehow suggest that these assaults on environment and native rights (as defined in International Covenants and the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, all signed by the US and Canada) happened in the past, sort of.
It's a bitter irony that whenever someone calls out these grievances happening right before your eyes in your own countries the public is directed towards even larger and far more complex conflicts. Some of these conflicts originate not with American and Canadian policies, and to believe that "the west" (whatever that is today) could solve them is a case of massive overconfidence.
Lastly, it's a bitter irony that now Canadian governments and resource corporations, hidden behind the screen of daily American government idiocies at home and abroad, once again are able to renew their image of being the "good guys" with regards to environment and the rights of aboriginal societies. David Suzuki and Neil Young know this, they look at things and they listen before speaking out. "Who's gonna stand up and save the earth?" One answer is to be found in our own backyards.

    1. "they listen before speaking out" and it is often that simple. The men in control in the US, grotesque mansplaining racist fools, do not ever listen and they write off those who could teach them, like the forgotten human beings who live in despair.
