Apparently this setlist presented above originated with me, somehow. In a comment on the German fan site "Rusted Moon" I posted that setlist which came with a ROIO that has been widely circulated and also included the introductionary note on how that ROIO version of "Hard Luck Stories" was created: There is an imcomplete soundboard recording (?) that had been spliced with a complete audience recording. Neil Young on NYA mentions a much shorter list which contains just the rare or unusual tracks (rare for Crazy Horse). And it's not likely that there will be two versions of "Razor Love" or "Throw Your Hatred Down" etc.
ReplyDeleteAnnouncing the release of the Trocadero show remains a riddle to me, because it has been already there as a timeline concert for a couple of years now. The NYA annouincement is cryptic regarding the release formats. Will this be an appetizing NYA Vol. 4 standalone, maybe as a vinyl release, too?
Quote from NYATC: „ Sometime in 2027 or late 2026, Hard Luck Stories will be featured in NYA Volume 4. You will get it here a long time before that.“
DeleteThus, it is an appetizer for NYA Vol 4. It contains just 8 tracks, not the complete 2 shows.
And another insignificant detail found out by the tireless Rusted Moon crew: The official German Record Store day list mentions the new live album with the Chrome Hearts to be titled "As Time Explodes". "Live Album" might just be a placeholder title.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dionys & Dieter.
ReplyDeleteIt appears that early reports have been confused. Apologies. Really appreciate the corrections and clarifications.
Yes, an appetizer, but what exactly will it be, something in the vein of "Takes" (Vol.3). i.e. a CD and Vinyl release or will it be an upgraded Timeline Concert, maybe for download. I didn't check the duration of the tracks but with recent quality standards will this be a three-sider or just a single record, maybe something completely different, a LP with a 45 added?
ReplyDeleteI had my ticket for the 2nd Catalyst show. I was so jacked up to finally see Neil at the Catalyst....
ReplyDeleteThen he decided he wanted a ham sandwich....
