  2. I don't know why this comment. Allot of provocation here lately. I'll bite then spit it out.

  3. Tremendous show tonight. I've seen Crazy Horse and love them but the Chrome Hearts were great tonight out in Lake Michigan, with the Chicago skyline and fireworks in the background. I think their energy is a fountain of youth for Neil - they all sounded great and left us wanting more. Long may they run!

  4. Love it! Big Crime! Neil is the ONLY big name musician (with the balls to match) and call T Rump out. Been waiting fer this!
    Go Neil!

  6. Great show! Mr. Young seemed energetic. I saw the Horse last year in Atlanta and while it was great to see them again, IMHO they didnt seem to be having fun. The Hearts were great! Spooner was in a wheelchair due to an apparent basketball accident a couple days before where he broke his freaking pelvis. He was still rocking! The new song was one of his better ones of late. The lyrics were straight forward, but it had the intensity that is needed to carry a song like that from preachy to something more. I'd love to hear it again. Keep on rockin' Mr. Young and Co.

  8. HUGE neil fan, seen him 84 times live and i admittedly obsessive
    the emperor has no clothes!
I DO NOT CARE ABOUT POLITICAL AFFILIATIONS but i do care about quality of output:
“big crime” panders to anti trumpers.
like much of “trees”, the lyrics are pathetically simplistic & uninspiring with careless a dashed off feeling
i could care less about political opinions but most of his new stuff is forgetable and sophomoric
do better neil, show some craftsmanship that we all know you are capable of…

  10. So you shared your low opinion of Neil’s latest music. Do you feel better now? Most of us come here because we love his music. Many of us have wildly varying taste in music”Neil Young music” & we come here to celebrate the man & his Art.

I don’t care how unimpressed you are. Coming here to post that is like carrying home a dead mouse to show mama. She will wonder what the hell goes on in that brain of yours, & the rest of us will not be helped by your negative words.

This is not the complaint department. Old artists can be a pain in the ass & same with their fans.

We see people praising the Chrome Hearts; they have lit a fire in Neil. He is performing at the age of 80, sounding like he is not yet 64.

Let him rock. We don’t benefit your negative assessment. Why don’t you go to a show and see what the hubbub is all about.

Most of us are just amazed & thrilled that he is ignited in his rock God element. We are so grateful that NY is still walking the Earth.

I have had a few friends die lately & I am beyond happy that our hero in music is still doing it.

You don’t need to inform us of your low opinion. We are better off without hearing that negative opinion.

I’m still living the dream we had. For me it’s not over. Bring back the Hippie Dream!

    1. never agreed with or cared for your attitude on this site over the years, alan…just my opinion
ps the chrome hearts show at northerly island was my 84th neil concert
NObody loves, appreciates, admires. understands or respects NY more than me….
but he himself expects & deserves an unvarnished honest opinion…

  15. Inaresting that Neil is "Speakin out" with his new song a week before he crosses the border again, probably wouldn't mind turning 80 in Canada

  16. CLE was fantastic, would have loved see the Thrashers but didn't pick them out of the crowd. The guitar premiere amazed everyone around us felt very special. So many questions, did he save it for the hall of fame city, what songs were recorded on it? Where has it been all this time?

  19. Pandering to anti T Rumpers. I love anon posters Almost as much as I love T Rumpers.
T Rump supporters are kinda like jock straps. Both support a Dick & his Nuts.
    Go Neil!
    Big Time, Big Crime.

  20. I recently commented that l wanted to hear more about Neil, his music and gigs( especially when on tour) Glad to see that’s happening .Whilst l broadly agree with what Alan says, l also think there must be room for some constructive criticism of our beloved Neil, there needs to be a balance .
I saw The Hyde Park show and l think it goes in top 3/4 gigs of his that l have seen and l go back to Tonight’s the night tour !
Let’s enjoy him in the Twilight of his career and savour every last gig and recording
