Neil Young Creativity Update: "Canary" - A Fiction Novel Completed

October 14, 2014

Ok, here the latest update today on Neil Young's creativity.

On NYA, Neil Young has announced that he has submitted a manuscript to a publisher for a fiction novel titled "Canary". Neil has been writing the book for over four years and hopes to have published by the end of 2020.

Earlier reports were that the book was of a science fiction nature. Some time ago, word had it that Neil met with Nils Lofgren's neighbor author Clive Cussler to discuss writing fiction. Incidentally, Clive Cussler just passed away very recently.

  1. I would not mind a conjecturing of sorts, a reply to Neil's plan when Nils goes on the road with Bruce. Who or what is the Plan B? Go on as a 3 piece? Stephen with Crazy Horse Rhythm section? David Crosby to be rhythm player with the horse? (I know it won't be that, but hey).

  2. Lukas would be my best guess but when it comes to Neil I just sit back and enjoy the ride.

  3. Perform 3 piece and do Greendale to go along with the Live release.
