ReplyDelete1st song has to be "Will to Love" (the original fireside song) which is one that he has never ever played live.
ReplyDeleteWow! I'd love to hear Neil do "Will To Love". I'm a Salmon heading upstream to spawn. ✌️
ReplyDeleteif this will be anything like last night's Heart of Gold, I advise "please don't."
ReplyDeleteHonest ears.
Delete.... so ... Art, what was wrong with Heart of Gold? Could you elaborate please? I’m curious about your perspective.
ReplyDeletePeace.
I thought Heart of Gold was great.
ReplyDeleteHow often do we get to see Neil perform live?
And today, I mean today, last night, not a fan video from the
40th row but right there for me and mine and you and yours. Thanks Neil!
Keep it coming! I think alot of folks, besides me, enjoy this type of setting.
BTW, Neil's voice seemed spot on.
I will take any song next to that fire place.
Peace out!
@ Cat : I couldn’t agree more. Anything Neil wants to sing in front of that fireplace is okay by me.
ReplyDeletePeace.
Regarding the one song Heart of Gold "concert" in support of Bernie.... I thought it sounded horrible. His voice was fine, but the guitar was out of tune (that pesky flat B string and zinging E especially). It could have just been the wavering feed, but his voice sounded fine, so I doubt it. Not his playing awful, but the tuning. Internet brodcast has it's charm, however, but the sound was awful. I was cringing. I bet, as persnickity as Neil is about his sound, if he would have heard the feed, he might have blown a Mountaintop gasket.
ReplyDeleteJust listened to the recording of the broadcast... it sounded better than what the real time broadcast did..... but still.... maybe it is the Ibanez....
ReplyDeleteAnyway... I have heard way better sounding Neil.
Thanks Aer. nice to see you Waterface. been awhile.
ReplyDeleteYes, you're right that the audio on the replay/YT is much better than the original Livestream.
Agree w/ Art and others that something was wrong. Fortunately, it seems it was more of a production issue than Neil losing his touch.
Yes! Definitely not losing his touch..... just his hair ;-)
