Borrowed Tunes: A New Zealand Based Project Celebrating the Music of Neil Young
'Borrowed Tunes' is a New Zealand based project celebrating the music of Neil Young. The intention is to collaborate in any way possible on Neil's songs.
The idea is that New Zealand musicians and artists collaborate on music and art with the goal of releasing a tribute cd / download & possible 7" lathe cuts by New Zealand's own Peter King.
A Crowdfunding campaign has been started. Also, there will be Neil Young themed gigs around the country to cover licensing fee's and production etc.
For more info, see 'Borrowed Tunes'.
Best of luck Matt & keep on rockin!

Thank you for your participation, cooperation, and keep on rockin'!

There's a layer of irony here, in that Neil himself borrowed the music for "Borrowed Tune" from the Rolling Stones, as he admits in the lyrics. So if someone chose to work with that particular song for this project, it would be doubly borrowed!
