The Monsanto Years film, documents the recording of the album by Neil Young + Promise of the Real at converted movie theater Teatro in Oxnard, Calif.

Watching the video with the album makes it all seem a lot more fun (while not negating the serious messages)! I always get excited when I see the old "Shakey Pictures" logo and theme fire up!
ReplyDeleteWorth noting--this is appears to be the same as the main feature on the Monsanto Years bonus DVD. Not sure about Yahoo's "exclusive" claim.
ReplyDeleteAlso the same one being shown in theaters as part of the traveling Bernard Shakey film festival. Yahoo is the only place you can watch it online, though.

ReplyDeleteAh ha, thanks! I pulled out the CD from the package (I got four for the tickets bought for the show on the 22nd) and didn't bother to look at the other sleeve, as I thought it was just the liner notes.
ps- there's some great extra "gravy" on the DVD, starting with more background on POTR...
