  1. that was really great. I hadn't planned on watching the whole thing but I did. As a native of Northern California and someone who has traveled and camped nearly all of it I particularly liked the analogy with Mt. Shasta and Shasta Lake. Also to see him get feisty about Woodstock nearing 50 years later is fun to watch. Thank you for this.

  2. Did Charlie say Neil was working with Jack White on something new? Could be great!

  3. That's a fine conversation, Neil in a very relaxed and upbeat mood. Looking good, too (lost some weight, eh, Neil?) Happily no theatrics on the part of Rose, of course. Neil made a very good point about Dylan being underrrated as a guitar player, band leader and even singer. Minor point: pity for us Rusties that he clearly doesn't feel the need to talk much about his past, or even his music! It's all about love and the planet these days, apparently.. Well, good for him, though.

  4. Thanks for this Thrasher. One of the best Neil interviews I've seen, covering many areas. For Neil, it's all about Love. How true.

I really enjoy Charlie Rose's style as an interviewer. When discussing the past, however, it would have been an excellent chance to at least ask Neil about the Archives. Otherwise, an excellent interview.

  6. Neil: You don't have notoriety. You have fame. Notoriety is reserved for the bad guys.

  7. Neil talking about how we need markets and competition. Is Neil becoming a believer in Austrian economics? :)

  8. Wow NY is pretty convincing! I almost believe what he's saying is possible! I was going to ask why HE doesn't run for president and then two seconds later he reminded me that he's Canadian. I wonder why Canada doesn't have renewable fuels on it's taxpayer funded highways? Hopefully this video was seen by more than just a few NY fans. He's so cool.

  9. I respect Neil for a lot of things. Naturally I love him as a musician. But, right now he & Willie are doing their best to get the word out that we are destroying our planet, and not so much a little at a time as a lot at a time. I hope people listen.

  10. As a Vietnam vet we are from opposite sides of our age group. Now retired and 76 your interview with Charlie Rose really got me thinking about what is important in this life. 50% of the fish and 70% of animal species was a real eye opener. Thanks much for your efforts. I have become a disciple.

  12. Really great interview! Neil sounded and looked great. He's such a smart, lucid guy with a clear vision. I think he summed a lot up when he said that corporations only think 3-months ahead. THAT is crux of everything.

  13. Thank you Mr. Neil Young. Love is your goal and you have certainly achieved your goal with the purity and joy of your music and your "life actions". Fellow Canadian and Waterdown resident. May you live long....
