FAN VIDEO: "Who's Gonna Stand Up and Save the Earth" by Neil Young & Crazy Horse

This past weekend, Neil Young authorized his new song "Who's Gonna Stand Up and Save the Earth" to be available as a free MP3 download .

On his official site neilyoung.com/, he writes: "I'm giving you permission to please use this music in videos, clips and communications, or in any way you see fit during this critical time."

And, Neil Young fans are now beginning to produce their own music videos to the song. So here's a new fan produced video by Tami "Sand Cowgirl", who is from Arkansas -- "The Natural State" :
I grew up in a small farming community.

My grandpa was a sharecropper....my dad worked on farms for most of his life. We always had a big garden. The soil provided sustenance for us and our livestock, and my family always treated it with respect. The farms got bigger...the little guys got rooted out. Greed ensued - the trucks and tractors got bigger, and the chemicals got stronger. People run into their houses to avoid the toxic spray from the crop dusters.

Several years ago my folks got a visit from representatives of the plant board, instructing them to pull up and destroy all their garden plants, and not to plant anything into the soil for 2 years because the farm adjacent to their property had been sprayed with highly toxic chemicals. That food crop next door was harvested and sold. People somewhere consumed that food. My parents and I are all cancer survivors. We've lost so many friends and loved ones from cancer that we've lost count. Not only is the cancer occurrence high in this area, so are autism rates, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease...all of which have been proven to have links to farm chemical use.

Even if someone doesn't live here, there are lots of other places in the same boat...and the food produced in those places goes all over the country...all over the world. It's in the air we all breathe...in the drinking water.

This is not a Liberal or a Conservative issue, but just plain common sense. People need to understand the connection and the seriousness of this matter before it's too late. Something has got to change.
Thanks Tami! Great job with the video editor. Wonderful to see who is standing up over in Arkansas -- "The Natural State"!
