Remember Winterlong... "It's all illusion anyway".

Neil Young performs Winterlong at Leipzig Arena, 8 July 2008.

WINTERLONG by Neil Young, ~1970

I waited for you, Winterlong
You seem to be where I belong.
It's all illusion anyway.

If things should ever turn out wrong
And all the love we have is gone,
It won't be easy on that day.

Waiting to follow
Through the dreamlight of your way
Is not so easy for me now.

Half the time has passed away
Things we thought of yesterday
Come back now, come back now.

Waiting to follow
Through the dreamlight of your way
Is not so easy for me now.

Half the time has passed away
Things we thought of yesterday
Come back now, come back now.

I waited for you Winterlong
You seem to be where I belong.

Why "Winterlong", you ask?

Because, it's time to break free of the matrix. now.

A few months back, I caught Jamie Walker and Jim Gambino performing together at a songwriter showcase. They did a number of their own songs, and also many covers of their favorite songs.

Jim played and sang a beautiful version of Winterlong, right after the group did Powderfinger. He closed the night with Can't Hardly Wait, probably my favorite Replacements song. Thanked him on the way out; added that the last song totally made my night.
