  1. Word is Gary Clark Jr. was going to be sitting in with the Horse tonight. Can't wait to hear some reports!

  2. A report from Roel from FB Rusties:

    "Roel van Dijk
Awesome show in Locarno. He did the regular acoustic set and then added Comes A Time with Ralph on harmony vocals. Very happy Neil. Neil started Cortez after Cinnamon Girl but said he needed his "other guitar" (Old Black). When he got it he played a great Fuckin Up and then Cortez! Another Sedan Delivery, but skipped HHMM. Cool Hurricane to finish with Neil pushing The Horse along a bit. Great crowd, we were just in front of Poncho, 3rd row. Now: vacation, and we'll see Neil again in Lucca."

  3. I was in the dead center, straight in front of Neil. Neil in happy mood and great concert. Highlights: a very passionate Ramada Inn, the acoustic part, Fuckin' UP, Mr Soul with an improvised end. Cortez The Killer amd Like A Hurricane clearly improvised on the spot, so on LaL, at a certain point Neil and Band got lost and almost weren't able to continue the song for a while. Clearly LAH wasn't rehearsed before.

    So (very)Tired.

  4. They've played Hurricane more than 500 times over the last 40 years, including three last month on the first leg of the Euro tour - how much more rehearsal do they need?

  5. A fantastic show in a great setting. Locarno's Piazza Grande is hard to beat, the weather was optimal, and Neil and the boys were in a very playful mood.
A new high watermark for me.

  7. I was there and had a stunning surprise in listening the unknown to me Gary Clark Jr. Great great blues! I couldn't belive that blues is still so alive!
And now Neil... It's been since I was 15 that I tried to go and listen to HIM live (first time he had the stage burned (Italy, Milano 1982) second time he was put into a palasport playing for free and tousands of us had to stay out fighting the police; third time (Milano) the ticket was too expansive to me... and so on.
Now, after 30 years (I am 46 now)I could see him in Locarno. I was standing right in front of him, three meters from him, first raw.
I was in an estatic state of mind, and three or four times we looked into each other's eyes for long deep time. Now I can die.
