Ahhhh, There Comes a Time, how appropriate. There comes a time in everyone's life to stand up for his/her own land as well. Right now Calgary, Alberta is suffering from a flood of biblical proportions and we are trying to put together a benefit show to help all those folks who have lost everything. Neil, there comes a time to help out, even though Alberta is vilified because of the oil sands. There comes a time to think of the people, just like the American farmers and momentarily take a pass on the big oil, because people mean more. We are trying to get Joni among others to participate and having our Homegrown Neil participate will bring together everyone. Just think, a great 'stage' to speak of climate change and how we must change directions. C'mon Neil, Elliot et al, won't you please come to Calgary just to sing??

Hi, Not to lessen the seriousness of the flood but the wealthiest province in one of the wealthiest countries in the world should be able to take care of it's own without a benefit. Here in Windsor Ontario we`ve been dealing with the highest unemployment in Canada for years and recession after recession due to our dependence on the auto industry. I`m pretty sure Neil knows when and where to play benefits. Between Farm Aid, Bridge School and the countless other charitable causes he has participated in, he is no doubt the most giving musician out there.
ReplyDeleteLots of Chatty Cathys in the crowd......
ReplyDeleteIn response to Paul in Essex, here is an article from the Toronto Star, whci says better what I was trying to say.
