A hot night in Paris. Literally.

Temperatures on the rail were as hot as the night of transcendent music.

So hot that Neil played the end of the concert with an iced towel around his neck before tossing into audience in an attempt to cool things down.

For us -- Paris was the best Alchemy show we've seen thus far. That includes the 2012 dates, as well.

The crowd was on fire singing, dancing and hanging on every lyric and note.

The "Rockin in the Free World" finale was a total surprise and blowout and the Paris crowd loved it.

  1. Looks good! "Rockin' In The Free World" encore possibly chosen because of the D-Day landings anniversary today?

  2. Great to hear "Rockin'" back; I'm really hoping to get it in London.

Was the rest of the setlist the same as past nights? (Not that this is in any way a bad thing; it's a great set!)

  5. Roll on Newcastle next Monday! Newcastle is the birthplace of Hank Marvin and I live in Darlington where Jimi Hendrix played a celebrated gig n 1967. I know it's a bit of a stretch but after the concert I'll be going From Hank to Hendrix!!

  6. Next gig will be at the one of Neil's favourite european venues; Forest National in Brussels. I saw him perform there in 1976,1982,1987 and finally he's coming back. Yeehaa!!!

  7. Sounds like Thrasher is having a blast and the musical trip of a lifetime! There will need to be separate reviews for the fantastic beer. Perhaps Thrasher's Barley?

  9. So Neil dropped the final verse to "Ramada Inn" in Paris, too? Wonder what's up with that.

  11. Magnifique show.
Dommage que le melltron de Hurricane soit resté accroché dans les cintres.
Ces cinq gars sont en pleine harmonie. L'alchimie Neil + Crazy Horse est intacte.
When will I see you again ?

  13. Few hours before Neil's gig in Forest National, Brussels.

Reviews sound very promising so I can't wait to be there.

And have Los Lobos as a supreme support act !!

Awesome show. Being within the floor audience, and even better on the rail, was a total bliss.
I also joined my first Rust Fest after the show, where I met friends I 'knew' via FB or the RustList, plus Thrasher himself!
    Lifetime memories...

  17. Amazing show, NY & CH are at the top of their game. And the sound was incredibly good for such a venue.
